A place that has not yet been discovered by mass tourism and where you can still taste real country life?
We found it and we will be happy to welcome you to our first comfortable gîte or in our Glamping Lodges on our wonderful 13-hectare domaine with heated swimming pool in the preserved nature of the Ariège and less than an hour away from Carcassonne, Toulouse and the Pyrenees.

Comfortable & Cosy
Our luxury gîtes are located in the ancient 1907 farmhouse with olive green shutters.
​
They are wonderfully comfortable holiday homes with a lovely living room, a large kitchen, 2 bathrooms or shower and bath, excellent box-spring beds and a large wooden terrace.
Glamour in Nature
Our 3 magnificent Glamping Lodges are located in the orchard and have a breathtaking view of the hills and the village of Lapenne.

They are fully equipped with a bathroom, a kitchen with dishwasher and comfortable beds.
OUR SERVICES
Heated swimming pool
Our 10 x 5 m heated swimming pool with wooden terrace is beautifully located on our domaine. You have a wonderful view of the rolling meadows, the bison park and the characteristic bell tower of the village of Lapenne. It's nice to swim a few lengths, play or just cool off.
Around the pool there are comfortable sun loungers. You can also treat yourself to a cold drink or an ice cream in our comfortable bar truck!
Vast small-scale domaine
You reach our domain by a beautiful driveway and an entrance gate.
The Cammazet domaine covers 13 hectares and is made up of rolling meadows and a forest.
The 360 ​​degree views and the sunsets are breathtaking. You can take nice walks, for example to the old oak tree on the hill overlooking the herds of deer and bisons.
Of course, there is also a pétanque court, a trampoline and swings.
Retro terrace & bar
By the pool, you will find our Peugeot J7 which is fitted out as a small bar.
On the terrace you will find retro style tables and chairs, a swing in the shade with a view of the bisons and an XXL lounge sofa.
We are happy to serve a delicious espresso, cappuccino, soda or juice.
Of course, we also have ice cream.
Around lunch and dinner we can serve alcoholic drinks and cocktails.

Free unlimited wifi
Unlimited and good WiFi in unspoiled nature? We also thought it was impossible but when you seek well, you always find a solution.
Our wifi is 4G which arrives via an antenna that is almost on our driveway. It normally works well and is really unlimited.
There is no television in our accommodations. It is a conscious choice that we will be happy to explain to you if you wish.
It's all included
We have opted to include final cleaning, bed linen and towels in our weekly rates. Kitchen towels are also included.
As simple as that. We just ask you to bring your own beach towels.
Only the tourist tax that we collect for the municipality is still to be added.
And of course the drinks, meals and ice-creams that you will enjoy during the week and that you can pay in cash when you leave.

Table d'hôte
in July and August, you can join us for dinner 4 times a week. We prepare delicious oven-baked chicken, pizza from the wood-fired oven and a BBQ with salad buffet. Of course we also offer vegetarian dishes. We prefer everyone eating at about the same time to quickly create a cosy atmosphere. When the children are ready, they can play or even swim. In the early and late season, we usually cook 2 or 3 times depending on the guests.

IN THE SURROUNDING AREA
Swimming
Do you like swimming in natural water? You can do so just 5 minutes from our estate on the River Hers, with its small beach.
A little further away is Lac de Montbel with the beach at Léran. Here you can swim, pedal-boat, canoe, hike or horse-ride around the lake. Lac Saint-Ferréol, surrounded by sandy beaches and tall pine trees, is also a wonderful place to spend a summer's day.
If you're visiting the Château de Foix, you can cool off on the beach at Foix afterwards.
Prefer to swim in the sea? Leave early and you'll be on the wide beach at Gruissan, Narbonne Plage or a little further on at Port Leucate in around an hour and a half.
Ask us for the best addresses! And don't forget to eat or take away some delicious seafood.
Villages, towns and culture
The Domaine du Cammazet is located in the Cathar Country, famous for its century-old fortresses and knights. Within an hour's drive you will find castles, fortresses and ruins.
Within 15 minutes by car is the fortified town of Mirepoix with its square surrounded by half-timbered houses and arcades.
At 45 minutes you can admire two places which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List: the city of Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi. In the area there are many typical villages with narrow streets, beautiful fountains and characteristic church towers.
A day of shopping is also possible in the old center of Toulouse with the many stores with beautiful wooden facades, the parks to relax and of course the buildings with the characteristic pink brick.
Active and sports
Close to our domaine, there are endless opportunities to be active and sporty. First of all, there's kayaking with Naturokayak on a superb river just 5 minutes from us!
Then there are the many beautiful walks, cycle rides and mountain bike rides, often with the Pyrenees in the background. There are many itineraries, from easy to more challenging.
Near Foix in the Pre-Pyrenees, you can even go rafting or canyoning.
If you enjoy horse-riding, we highly recommend a ride to the magnificent Lac Montbel.Paragliding from the Prat d'Albis is also a fantastic experience.
For the kids, there are climbing and water parks, and for the youngsters there's a go-kart track and water skiing.
In Carcassonne and Toulouse, you'll find magnificent golf courses. All within an hour's drive.
Beautiful nature
Our domaine and its surroundings are one large and beautiful nature reserve with chickens and horses around the house, bison and deer almost in our backyard and the bamboo park just a few minutes drive away.
The beautiful rolling hills resemble Tuscany with the shades of colour of grains, sunflowers and green crops.
Less than an hour's drive towards the Pyrenees, you'll find mountains, lakes, rivers, waterfalls and magnificent caves such as the Grotte de Niaux with its beautiful paintings. Or visit the Grotte de Mas d'Azil, the only cave in Europe you can drive to. Near Foix, you can take a 1,500-metre boat trip on the River Labouiche ... in a cave.
Gastronomy
Also in Ariège you will find delicious regional dishes and products. Affordable menus and local specialties are served in the many friendly restaurants. If you have something to celebrate, a dinner at Chateau de Camont is an unforgettable experience. Water runs in your mouth in front of bakery windows and in local markets, you buy delicious products to get started in the kitchen yourself. A wine tasting in a castle is also possible. We are not far from Corbières and Minervois, where fine wines are made. Or take a nice stroll through the vineyards where Blanquette de Limoux is made. It is a delicious local sparkling wine that is older than champagne. Near Carcassonne are some good producers of 'natural wines.
Markets and flea markets
How wonderful to shop at a local market. The weekly markets are always in the morning. So make sure you arrive on time! The Mirepoix Monday market is our absolute favorite. The square around the cathedral is then full of stalls with fresh local produce, clothes, souvenirs and oriental and African dishes that you can taste immediately. The atmosphere is warm and hippy with street musicians and a lot of attention to organic and vegan. On weekends there are often garage sales and antique markets. We find the garage sales in small towns to be the most charming. For fine antiques or art, you can visit a flea market or one of the many flea markets. In high season there are also worthwhile night food markets.
