Markets and flea markets

How wonderful to shop at a local market. The weekly markets are always in the morning. So make sure you arrive on time!

 

The Mirepoix Monday market is our absolute favorite. The square around the cathedral is then full of stalls with fresh local produce, clothes, souvenirs and Oriental and African dishes that you can taste immediately. The atmosphere is warm and hippie with street musicians and a lot of attention to organic and vegan.

 

On weekends there are often garage sales and antique markets. We find garage sales in small towns to be the most charming.

 

For fine antiques or art, you can visit a secondhand market or one of the many secondhand galleries.

 

In high season there are also worthwhile night food markets.
